A full blown out kitchen remodel can be extensive and expensive. Here are a few ways to update the look and feel of your kitchen without completely tearing the whole room out, down to the studs.

Updated Countertops

There are quite a few of products to choose from when looking for countertops.

Formica counters, which are a laminate, have come a long way from years past. High definition designs have a textured raised stone look to the laminate and come in wide varieties of colors and patterns. Formica is your most inexpensive choice and you would have to look twice before you noticed it wasn’t a solid surface counter.

Solid surface countertops come in a wide variety different stones, colors, and patterns. Granite and quartz are durable and can last a lifetime with the proper care and maintenance. Although these types of stone are some of your most expensive options, there are tons of different design choices that enable you to find that perfect touch for your new kitchen counters.

Refacing Cabinets

If your cabinets are still in good shape but you are looking for a different color or stain, refacing all your cabinets and doors is a great way to save money. This technique can give your kitchen a whole new look and save the cost of installing new ones.

New Hardware

Installing new hardware on all your draws and doors will set off your existing cabinets and add a new and updated feel to your kitchen. You can choose from either knobs or handles.  There are many different finishes and styles to pick.

Faucets and Sinks

Changing out your kitchen faucet allows you to choose a completely different style and finish. With new technology most manufactures make hands-free operation faucets along with a smudge-free finish. There are so many different options to pick from it won’t be hard finding the perfect faucet for your sink.

Replacing your existing sink will add a new, fresh look that will set off your existing counter tops nicely. Stainless steel is a popular finish and can be one of you least expensive ways to go. Stone sinks will make a statement that will last a lifetime if taken care of properly. Although stone sinks can get expensive you have more variety to choose from when it comes to color and patterns.

New Flooring

A new kitchen floor is a great way to add that touch you been looking for. There are many choices when it comes to a new floor. Ceramic tile is popular. Another great option is plank flooring. A vinyl rolled floor would be your least expensive way to go and still looks great.
